Welcome to NB Education

NB Education is run by Natasha Barnes, an experienced qualified, teacher, who has been supporting primary children with their education for 12 years.

What Do We Teach?

Online and face-to-face (in Sheffield S17) lessons available for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 children in Maths, Reading and Writing.

 

All lessons are 45-minutes long with informal feedback provided after.

Maths

  • Online small-group maths masterclasses, designed to boost confidence & ease anxiety, covering the key material on the Year 6 curriculum.

  • 1-to-1 maths lessons available for Key Stage 1 and 2 focussing on core skills of place value, times tables, arithmetic, problem-solving and mathematical reasoning.

Writing

A Girl in a Classroom

  • 1-to-1 lessons to support children's confidence in writing. Personalised to individual needs, but incorporating a range of vocabulary, grammar and punctuation skills to develop creativity across a range of different genres.

Reading

  • 1-to-1 support for reading comprehension at Key Stages 1 and 2, focussing on key reading skills of prediction, retrieval, inference, understanding vocabulary, summary and explaining.

  • Phonics and decoding support to help build confidence in the mechanics of early reading.
